Women's Volleyball ends season with 3-0 setback at Ithaca in Liberty League Semis
ITHACA, N.Y. – The RIT Women's Volleyball team fell at Ithaca, 3-0 (25-10, 25-21, 25-16), in the Liberty League Tournament Semifinals, Friday.
Sophomore outside hitters Mia Gerber and Macie Jolliffe each totaled six kills to lead the Tiger attack.
Graduate student libero Hailey Blixt was credited with a team-high 11 digs.
Graduate student setter Sydney Neff totaled 18 assists and five digs.
Senior middle blocker Catherine Vento added five kills, five digs and three total blocks.
The top-seeded Bombers moved past the fifth-seeded Tigers to advance to Saturday's championship game opposite second-seeded William Smith.
RIT made its ninth Liberty League Tournament Semifinal appearance since joining the league 13 seasons ago in 2011. The Tigers also qualified for their sixth-consecutive Liberty League Tournament as well as their 10th appearance overall.
