GENESEO, N.Y. – The RIT men's track & field team recorded several regional qualifying times and marks at the Geneseo Early Season Invitational, Saturday.
On the track, senior Max Stein led five Tigers in the 400m hurdles by taking third place with a 55.94 clocking, a regional qualifying time. Stein also anchored the 4x400m relay team to a second-place finish with a regional qualifying time of 3:21.19.
In the 800m, senior Trenton Goyette and first-year John Elliot both recorded regional qualifying times of 1:55.23 and 1:55.86, respectively, to finish fourth and fifth place overall. Teammate Josh Bedford, a junior, was sixth with a time of 1:56.46.
Junior distance runner Derick Koen also recorded a regional time in the 5,000m after finishing fifth with a 14:54.93 clocking.
Sophomore Keenan Gosselin and senior Andrew Bernacki placed first and second in the javelin with regional marks of 55.36m and 54.18m.
