Women's Lacrosse places five on 2025 Liberty League All-Conference Team

ROCHESTER, NY -- Five members from the RIT women's lacrosse team were named to the 2025 Liberty League All-Conference team announced Tuesday, May 6. Sophomore Katherine Killian was named Defensive Player of the Year and head coach Erin Wagner and assistant coaches Emily Hawryschuk and Rachel Hillhouse were named the Coaching Staff of the Year.  
 
Killian, senior Lily DePalma and junior Morgan Nichter were first-team selections. Junior Adele Jones was a second-team pick and junior Zoe Heffernan was a third-team selection.
 
Killian finished second in the league with 55 ground balls averaging 3.24 per game. The 2024 First Team All-Liberty League selection led the league with 110 draw controls, averaging 6.47 per contest and was tenth in the league averaging 1.35 caused turnovers per game. Killian won a season-high 12 draw controls at Union and caused a season-best three turnovers four times.
 
DePalma led the team and was tied for fourth in the Liberty League with a career-high 72 points, averaging 4.24 points per game. A 2024 Honorable Mention All-Liberty League selection, DePalma was third in the conference with 55 goals. She tallied 28 goals in Liberty League play, including a career-high six goals at Skidmore. DePalma scored five goals against St. Lawrence in the first round of the Liberty League Tournament.
 
Nichter finished second on the team and tied for sixth in the Liberty League with a career-high 67 points, including 37 points in Liberty League contests. She finished fourth in the league with 53 goals, including a season-best six goals against William Smith. Nichter tallied three goals and an assist against St. Lawrence in the first round of the Liberty League Tournament.
 
Jones finished fifth on the team in scoring with 31 points on a career-high 28 goals and three assists. She was tied for sixth in the Liberty League with 82 draw controls averaging 4.71 per game. She scored a season-high four goals and won a season-best 10 draw controls at Clarkson. Jones tallied three goals and an assist and had 14 draw controls in a pair of Liberty League Tournament games.
 
Heffernan finished third on the team and was eighth in the league with a career-high 66 points averaging 3.88 per game. She was second in the Liberty League with 31 assists, including 15 in conference play. Heffernan recorded a career-high eight points on four goals and four assists at Stevenson. She had eight points in two Liberty League Tournament games, including four goals and an assist at Ithaca in the Liberty League Semifinal.
 
RIT finished with an 11-6 record, the most wins in a season since 2013.
